CEU Rated #1 for Alumni Volunteerism

June 7, 2017

CEU alumni volunteers are #1 in Europe, according to a recent survey.

This year’s International CASE Alumni Relations Survey (ICARS), demonstrated CEU’s alumni to be the most engaged in Europe in terms of volunteerism, up from second place last year. CEU alumni also placed 3rd in terms of event attendance and sixth in alumni fundraising.

Administered by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the self-benchmarking study included eighty major universities in the U.K. and continental Europe, including London School of Economics, Oxford University and Trinity College Dublin, among others. Number of volunteers, event attendees and donors, measured by 10,000 constituents per year, were used as indicators of success.

With alumni chapters throughout Europe and beyond, CEU scored big this year in terms of the number of alumni volunteers, advancing from second to first place. It also maintained its standing regarding number of event attendees, although it showed a slight decrease of the number of alumni donors.

Examples of CEU alumni volunteering include aiding in student recruitment, organizing Pre-Departure Orientations for recently-accepted students and much more.

These latest ICARS results are just one more reminder of the strength of CEU’s amazing alumni community, which supports the future of this university via assisting with local alumni groups, student recruitment and philanthropic support.

Thanks again to all CEU alumni volunteers, event attendees and donors.
