CEU Alumni Event in London Largest Yet

May 3, 2017

CEU alumni in the U.K. just hosted their biggest and perhaps most important event yet.

More than 70 alumni and friends met on Thursday, April 27 at London’s Hungarian Cultural Centre for a meeting with CEU President and Rector Michael Ignatieff. (See photos below)

The president spoke about CEU’s ongoing fight to retain its academic freedom and exchanged remarks with the evening’s special guest, Hungarian Ambassador Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.

Afterwards, all present alumni stood and spoke of their experience at CEU and their affinity for their university, but also the country it calls home. As one alumnus noted, CEU—and by extension, Hungary—has in the alumni community approximately 14,000 ambassadors around the world.

Many thanks to our fellow alumni and friends, and special guests for making this a fantastic event. #istandwithCEU
