Simona is studying at CEU this year thanks to the supporters of the Alumni Scholarship, next|generation

In her own words:

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde,  in Scotland, where I had the opportunity to experience the beauty of an open-minded and diverse society.

I joined an Amnesty International student group during my studies, which I then led for two years. During long-term volunteering for the Scottish Refugee Council, I had a chance to work closely with people from vulnerable refugee backgrounds, learning about the unbelievably difficult situations these amazing individuals had to go through.

Similar professional and personal experiences have made me a passionate human rights supporter, wishing to give back to the society and helping the less privileged. Receiving the CEU Alumni Scholarship means that I will be able to continue investing my free time to contribute to the community and shape my surroundings for the better. I am therefore extremely thankful for this opportunity to the CEU alumni donors, without whom young people like myself, would not be able to follow their passion.
