Ana is studying at CEU this year thanks to the supporters of the Alumni Scholarship, next|generation

In her own words:

I graduated with an MA in International Affairs, Conflict Resolution, and Civil Society Development from the American University of Paris, where I became interested in diaspora studies, cultural memory, and collective identity of the former Yugoslavia.

Afterwards I returned to Detroit, Michigan where I provided support services for immigrant communities as an ESL and Citizenship instructor and legal aid at the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit. I also organized and participated in local and international cultural projects and events fostering collaboration, artistic expression, and intercultural dialogue and will continue to do so.

I chose CEU’s Nationalism Studies program because of the faculty’s diversity of knowledge and expertise. I hope to couple my organizational skills and academic interests and partner with organizations dedicated in the field of cultural memory.

I thank the Alumni community for creating this scholarship fund and for enabling me to study at CEU.
